Automotive importer EV Motors and GenCell Energy today marked the successful deployment of the first off-grid autonomous hybrid hydrogen-fueled EV charging station at a festive launch ceremony at the EV Motors facilities and head showroom in Netanya, Israel. Ohad Seligmann, Chairman, EV Motors, and Rami Reshef, co-founder and CEO, GenCell hosted a gathering to unveil the new solution and address the local press. The partners plan to deploy these grid-independent, autonomous EV charging stations in the Israeli and Chinese markets and later elsewhere around the world.
“In the past months EV Motors and its subsidiaries have been investigating and developing solutions to overcome the challenges created by the need to transition vehicles from fossil fuels to electricity. We are very pleased to have partnered with GenCell to deliver sustainable and environmentally-friendly autonomous charging stations, and in so doing to bring to the market a reliable, clean and efficient fueling alternative,” commented Ohad Seligmann, Chairman, EV Motors.
Remarked Rami Reshef, co-founder and CEO, GenCell: “We see great potential for GenCell in the EV charging station market, which is today estimated to reach some 10 billion dollars. As part of GenCell’s business strategy, these stations offer another opportunity for the fuel cells we develop to realize value by contributing uninterrupted, zero-emission power that ensures operational continuity at autonomous hybrid EV charging stations independent of the power grid.”
